مستوحى من الأحداث الحقيقية ، تدور أحداث هذا الفيلم في رواندا في التسعينيات عندما قُتل أكثر من مليون من التوتسي في إبادة جماعية لم يلاحظها أحد في الغالب من قبل بقية العالم. يسكن مالك الفندق بول روسسابجينا أكثر من ألف لاجئ في فندقه في محاولة لإنقاذ حياتهم.

تندلع مشكلة في بلدة صغيرة هادئة في نيو إنجلاند عندما يتم العثور على جثة رجل في الغابة. المشكلة هي أن كل شخص تقريبًا في المدينة يعتقد أن له علاقة بوفاته.

(تورا هاملتون) جراحة، تنتقل مع زوجها (دونكان) إلى جزر شيتلاند النائية، حيث تكتشف (تورا) في عمق التربة الخصبة التي تُحيط منزلها جثة امرأة شابة تشوّه بشرتها العلامات والجروح فضلًا عن فجوة مخيفة مكان قلبها، وتحاول كشف روابط مفزعة تتعلق بالأسطورة التي يتضح أنها لم تقتصر على صفحات القصص والكتب فقط.

While detectives search for clues among the living, veteran Dauphin County, PA, coroner Graham Hetrick uncovers secrets of the dead. Each episode features a stylized re-enactment of a compelling homicide case taken directly from Hetrick's files. As viewers are led through a series of twists and turns, Hetrick peels back the layers of the investigation to reveal how the murder happened and who is to blame.

An ex-actress who is now the wife of a famous politician is suddenly caught in a murder case. After a party goes haywire, the wife wakes up to the dead body of the stripper her friends hired. The same day she's being questioned, a man turns himself in. The brother of the "murderer" doesn't believe that his brother would truly hurt someone. In order to find out the truth, he gets close to the older married woman who woke up beside the dead body. What started out an investigation will end up as a bittersweet romance, leaving no one without scars.
