In the ruins of Nim Bis Rub, in Babylon, is a band of smugglers den. There goes Nemsi Kara Ben and his faithful friend. One night, while camping, they surprise three smugglers and, after a hard-fought struggle, manage to reduce them and take possession of the rings that are their trademark. Then they go to Baghdad and there, a character who wears a ring of smugglers, which has seen Kara's, confuses him with one of the band.

Teddy (Pik Nik) is visiting his married lover. Her husband comes home and Teddy quickly disguises himself as a mannequin. When he sneezes, the man discovers him and chases after him. Teddy manages to lose him and he decides to write a letter to the husband, luring him to his house. He then hypnotizes the husband and shaves his head.

After a severe storm in the Alps a party of guides discovers a deserted infant lying in the snow. They carry the child to a peasant woman who agrees to bring it up with her own little son. The only clue to the baby's identity is a gold locket engraved with a regal monogram, and it is not until twenty years later that the truth is discovered.
