Dreißig Jahre nachdem der weise und mächtige Zordon die Mighty Morphin Power Rangers gegründet hat, sieht sich das Team einer vertrauten Bedrohung aus der Vergangenheit gegenüber. Mitten in einer globalen Krise werden sie erneut aufgefordert, die Helden zu sein, die die Welt braucht.

Die Welt wird von einem 140 Jährigen Kalten Krieg überdauert und in einen West- und Ost-Block gespalten. In der Mitte liegt J-Country, in dem beide Blöcke ihre Kämpfe austragen. Es fehlt nur noch ein Tropfen, damit das Fass endgültig zum Überlaufen kommt und ein Atomkrieg ausbricht. Der weibliche Cyborg Mylene Hoffman soll gemeinsam mit drei anderen Agenten für den Westblock arbeiten. Ihr Auftrag ist, ihren Schöpfer, einen entführten Wissenschaftler finden und befreien. Doch im Laufe der Ermittlungen wird sie von düsteren Erinnerungen geplagt.

Eigentlich deutet nichts darauf hin, dass es alles andere als ein normaler Sonntag werden soll: Hikari hilft Akane in ihrem Cafe aus, Honoka ist still wie immer und Nagisa schlingt mal wieder Takoyaki in sich rein. In Hikaris Pause ziehen sich unsere drei Heldinnen auf einen Spielplatz zurück, um dort weiter von Jungs und Schmuck zu schwärmen. Doch ihre Träumereien werden jäh durch einen Unbekannten unterbrochen, der sie fragt, ob sie Pretty Cure seien und sie kurz darauf angreift. Wer ist dieser Unbekannte und was will er von Pretty Cure? Steckt etwa die Hexe aus dem Reich der Dunkelheit dahinter und was hat sie vor? All das werdet ihr erfahren.

Als Hibiki und Kanade in einem großen Einkaufszentrum unterwegs sind, fangen die verschiedenen Welten der Feen plötzlich an, mit der Erde zu verschmelzen. Eine dunkle Macht hat es auf die Prisma Blume abgesehen, welche die verschiedenen Welten miteinander verbindet. Sämtliche Precures müssen sich altbekannten Gegnern stellen und letztendlich eine schwere Entscheidung treffen.

Die Precure werden auf eine Party in die Feen-Schule eingeladen, wo sie jedoch in die Falle eines gerissenen Gegners tappen. Nun liegt es an Mana und ihren Freunden, die anderen zu retten.

Ayumi Sakagami, ein Mädchen das PreCures anhimmelt, ist ständig alleine, da sie zu schüchtern ist und ihr der Mut fehlt, um ihre Klassenkameraden anzusprechen. Jedoch lernt sie eines Tages Fuu-chan kennen und sie freunden sich miteinander an. Fuu-chan ist ein Überbleibsel der Fusion Foe, welche schon in Eiga Precure All Stars DX: Minna Tomodachi - Kiseki no Zenin Daishuugou von den Precure Magical Girls besiegt wurden. Nachdem Fuu-chan Ayumis Vorliebe für PreCures bemerkt, welche für ihre aktuell kleinere Körpergröße verantwortlich sind, entschließt sie sich, ihre alte Form zurückzuerlangen und Yokohamas Minato Mirai Bezirk in die totale Dunkelheit einzuhüllen.

In Harmonia, dem Land des Gesangs und Tanzes, wird ein Frühlingskarneval veranstaltet. Haruka Haruno und ihre Freunde besuchen ebenfalls dieses Land, um an dem Karneval teilzunehmen und möchten von ihren älteren Precure-Kriegern das Singen und Tanzen lernen. Plötzlich verschwinden die Feen von Precure und der gesamte Karneval gerät in ein einziges Durcheinander. Noch schlimmer ist aber, dass die beiden Ansager Odoren und Utaen sich sehr verdächtig verhalten und der Wächter-Drache von Harmonia wütend wird und randaliert. So stürzt dieser nicht nur das fröhliche Fest ins Chaos, sondern auch das gesamte Land. Um den Frieden in Harmonia nun wiederherzustellen, müssen die 40 Precure-Krieger zusammenarbeiten, um ein Wunder voller Gesang und Tanz zu erschaffen.

Nach langer Zeit besuchen Mirai, Riko und Mofurun mal wieder die Menschenwelt ‒ auf der Suche nach einem weiteren Link Stone. Rein zufällig begegnen die drei Haruka und ihren Freundinnen, woraufhin nur kurze Zeit später die Hexe Dyspear, eine Gegnerin von Harukas Precure-Team, auftaucht und die Mädchen sich gezwungen sehen, zu kämpfen. Kaum von dem Kampf erholt, wartet bereits der nächste Ärger! Trauuma, ein Untergebener der Hexe Solcieel taucht auf und berichtet darüber, dass sie hinter den Tränen der Precure her sind. Nach einem Kampf teleportiert Trauuma die Mädchen in seine Welt, wo sich vor allem Mirai und Riko plötzlich getrennt voneinander wiederfinden. Um dem Unheil zu entgehen, welches die Precure noch erwarten wird, müssen Mirai und Riko wieder zueinander finden und auch die übrigen Precure-Kriegerinnen retten.

An einem schönen Tag entscheiden die Mädchen, einen Themenpark namens »Princess Land« zu besuchen. Doch die Freude über den Besuch hält nicht lange an, als Coco und Natsu von zwei Figuren, die wie Bären aussehen, in das Land der Spiegel entführt werden. Die Mädchen folgen ihnen und müssen hier nicht nur gegen den bösen Oberschurken Shadow kämpfen, sondern auch gegen ihre eigenen Doppelgänger.

Auf der Flucht vor finsteren Gestalten, laufen das Mädchen Sakura und ihre Freundin Shizuku zu einem Portal. Dort überreicht Shizuku Sakura drei Karten und bittet sie, anhand der Symbole auf den Karten, nach Hilfe zu suchen. Noch bevor Sakura von dem Feind geschnappt werden kann, schubst Shizuku sie durch das Portal und sie landet in der Stadt Ichigozaka. Dort trifft Sakura auf Ichika und somit auch auf eines der Symbole auf den Karten. Als Ichika sich daraufhin in Cure Whip verwandelt, um Sakura zu beschützen, realisiert sie, dass die Karten sie zu Pretty Cure führen und diese ihr sicherlich helfen können, ihre Welt und ihre Freundin Shizuku zu retten.

Enen und Gureru, werden vom Direktor ihrer Feenschule damit beauftragt, Informationen über das neue PreCure Team »Happiness Charge« zu sammeln. Dabei bekommen sie tatkräftige Unterstützung, von Mana und ihren Freunden, deren Feen, einen guten Kontakt zu Ribbon haben, dem Partner des Teams, dass die beiden suchen. Doch bei ihrer Suche, stoßen sie noch auf ein anderes seltsames Vorkommen, denn alle Kinder verfallen plötzlich in einen mysteriösen Schlaf und wachen nicht mehr auf. Nun liegt es an Pretty Cure herauszufinden, was genau da vor sich geht und die Kinder davor zu retten.
