Businessman Leonardo, loves women especially model/student Francesca, who appreciates the attention but refuses to succumb to his charms. He then meets writer Emanuelle, who offers him a true sexual challenge.

While he is speaking on the phone with a member of his staff, Filippo has a severe headache and faints. As soon as he regains consciousness, he calls his friend Pippo for help and asks him to invite the group of old friends to join, too. Little by little the four friends remind him of happy moments shared in the past and Filippo gradually manages to remember with their help….But something unhappy comes back to their mind….

A documentary recounting the stories that have characterized the personal and artistic lives of Sergio Martino and Ruggero Deodato, two filmmakers who have represented Italian genre cinema in the world, loved by directors such as Quentin Tarantino, Eli Roth, Tim Burton, etc. All this takes place in the setting of a typical Roman restaurant, where the two directors meet for a lunch based on "spaghetti alla carbonara". Pasta is a determining element in Italian culture and, like the spaghetti western, it will characterize our story.

A summer evening, a recently concluded rock concert, three strays in the dark of the night: an immigrant peddler with a valid residence permit expiring, an unemployed anarchist and Leila, a firefly without light. Their story is cut short by the senseless violence of two Nazi skins. But friendship continues to run in a yellow van, emblem of their freedom ... beyond darkness, beyond death.
