Armastatud Vesperi poolt reedetud James Bond (Daniel Craig) pingutab, et mitte võtta oma uut missiooni liiga isiklikult. Ülekuulamisel paljastab mr. White (Jesper Christensen), et tema tööandjaks olev salaorganisatsioon on oluliselt laiaulatuslikum, kui keegi oskas ettegi kujutada.
