Un siècle d'effusion de sang entre les galaxies de systèmes stellaires a plongé près de 200 mondes dans les flammes de la guerre. Une fragile trêve s'est installée dans la galaxie Astragius mais les conflits se multiplient entre Balarant et Gilgamesh. Peu de temps après avoir reçu sa nouvelle affectation, Chirico Cuvie, soldat des forces spéciales de Gilgamesh, assiste à la trahison de son unité, et découvre un secret militaire bien gardé fruit de toutes les convoitises. Dès lors, il devient une cible à abattre.
