A house by the sea has stood vacant for many years, after misfortune befell several owners, which an artist painting the house explains to a passergy. A cross-editing of principal material from two Chilean films, LA CASA ESTA VACIA and LA DAMA DE LA MUERTE, with the addition of new American-made footage, to create a single story.

In Santiago, Andrés Barros is a partner at an up-and-coming law firm. He's getting married, and his friends, including his law partner Roberto, arrange a bachelor party where he spends the night with a prostitute, Gloria. She later shows up at his office and the passion continues, against his better judgment. Soon, Andrés is entangled in sex, lies, videotape, and blackmail. His relationship with Rosario, his fiancée, is strained, he neglects his work, and there's a dead body in a bathtub. A pimp, a whore, a doorman, a receptionist: where are the decent people?

A Russian agent is sent to a mission in Chile as a punishment. While there, he continues his adventures in a massage parlor where he meets Paola - a young prostitute he falls in love with.

In an undefined future, the earth has been destroyed by man, and the air polluted with a mysterious virus that turns humans into zombies. Only a few children are immune to the disease and have adapted to these extreme conditions and survived. Camille, a nine year old girl wanders through these desolate wastelands, protecting herself from zombies and the armed military forces that roam the land killing anyone who might be infected. However, the little girl will find other kids like her that share a recurring dream of: they all have visions of the ocean as their destiny. Together they will try to survive the journey to the ocean in search of an escape from the military who seem to be as determined on their destruction as on the zombies. The Death of a Horse tells the last days of a horse that pulls a cart, which when it dies is sent to the zoo as meat for the lions. It was later included as part of the feature film Once Upon a Boy, a Guerrilla and a Horse, from 1967.

It explores the problem of the shortage caused in Chile during the Unidad Popular. It shows the actions of a minister, a bourgeois housewife and a grassroots group of the JAP (Juntas de Abastecimiento y Precios) promoted by the government to alleviate this crisis.
