デトロイト市警のアクセル刑事は、盗難車の部品を売りさばく組織のアジトを急襲。だが一味のボス、デウォルドに上司を射殺されてしまう。アクセルは現場に残された手掛かりをもとに単身ビバリーヒルズへ。現地市警の刑事で、かつてともに2つの大事件を解決したローズウッドの応援を得られたアクセルだが、デウォルドが保安課長として働く巨大テーマパーク(ワンダーワールド)で偽造紙幣が製造されていることを突き止める。
