One day in the forest, Sasha finds a little fox caught in a trap. Having learned that poachers are hunting for the fox cub, the boy hides him in a dugout deep in the forest and begins to nurse him. He tries to understand why a former butler got into a well, and reveals a terrible secret to Atanas, on the honor to keep silence and assist him in everything. He is sure that the counters riches were hidden inside of the chest, and that the map with the chest location was put in the well. Now they have to find it

The Great Russian scientist, famous politician and poet M.Lomonosov is severely ill. Understanding that there is not much time left for him to live, he decides to visit his beloved small native town. Taking a coach, he heads for the motherland of his ancestors. A shaky road raises thoughts and reminiscences about his days of youth, about the time when he was young and unknown, how he made first steps on his long way of the truth comprehension. He recollects early death and funeral of his mother, the repeated, and not very successful marriage of his father, hatred of stepmother, care of godfather, who gave him the books of Peter the Great, wandering monk, who taught him the fundamentals of science, Latin, and, of course, his first love.

Wartime, summer 1941. Train carrying criminals gets under enemy fire and crashed. Out of all of the living are only a young lieutenant of the NKVD and two prisoners - the thief and repressed Communist party worker.

Spring, 1943. A military train is heading from a city, just liberated from the fascists. A special carriage with divisional printing-works is hitched to the train. Manager of the printing-works and correspondent expects he will travel alone, and even makes a prudent sign on the door - mines. But gradually the carriage starts to get filled with uninvited fellow travelers. The first were an injured soldier with a girl, then - a pregnant woman with escort, two communist party members, an actress, aunt Pasha, and others. The correspondent has nothing but to put up with it, because he cant turn out people, who suffer from the war, each in his/her own way.

The gifted designer-designer German Baklanov does not want to be a pawn in the hands of his boss, but wants independent, creative work. He forces the management of the Design Bureau to announce a competition for the development of a new tractor model, and he heads one of the creative groups.

A regular military call-up. Young guys, having got call-up papers and having passed a medical board checkup, enjoy themselves and spend the last days of freedom in different ways: some in discotheques, some in a company of friends outdoors, others are even carousing and scuffling. A colonel Nikitin (Yu. Nazarov) with a group of officers is ordered to accompany conscripts future marines - in a special train to the military service place, situated in the Far East. The whole trip takes several days. Right here, in the train wagons, with no dads and moms round, young conscripts are in for showing their worth and gaining their first experience of real army life.

In the Siberian wilderness, on one of the car depots, bad stories occur. It all starts with theft, and leads to murder. And neither the police nor the leadership of the base can put things in order. Moreover, the main character, Alexei, seems that he is completely alone in search of the truth.

In the hunting lodge on the outskirts of one-of-a-kind natural reserve lives game warden, Vasily Klintsov (Igor Lifanov), a young former captain from the special task force.
