Tien jaar nadat de eerste film van het Marvel Cinematic Universe werd uitgebracht, komt de spanning tot een hoogtepunt in de grootste en meest gevreesde confrontatie aller tijden in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War.

Rupert Angier en Alfred Borden zijn al van jongs af aan, toen ze nog lerende goochelaars waren, elkaars rivalen geweest. Nu, rond 1900, zijn ze beiden volleerde illusionisten en is hun rivaliteit tot immense proporties gegroeid.

John Gregory (Jeff Bridges) is een Spook, een persoon die vecht tegen het kwaad, en heeft eeuwen geleden de slechte en krachtige heks, Moeder Malkin (Julianne Moore), gevangen gezet. Maar nu is ze ontsnapt en ze is uit op wraak. Terwijl ze haar volgers bijeen roept, bereidt Moeder Malkin zich voor om haar woede te botvieren op de nietsvermoedende mensen. Slechts één ding staat in haar weg: John Gregory. John zelf is niet meer de jongste en probeert iemand te vinden die hem kan opvolgen. Hij heeft zijn hoop gevestigd op de jonge boerenzoon Thomas ward.

De hobbits Sam en Frodo beginnen samen met Gollum aan het laatste deel van hun reis richting Mordor, om daar te proberen in het hol van de leeuw de machtige Ene Ring te vernietigen. De legers van Gondor proberen ondertussen de stad Minas Tirith te beschermen tegen Sauron's legers.

Na teruggekeerd te zijn van hun huwelijksreis horen Shrek en Fiona dat haar ouders van het huwelijk gehoord hebben. Ze willen niets liever dan haar ware liefde te ontmoeten in hun koninkrijk Far Far Away. Ze zijn zich echter niet bewust van de veranderingen die hun dochter onlangs ondergaan heeft. En dat hun nieuwe schoonzoon een 350 kilo zware Ogre met een slechte hygiëne is en een pratende ezel als vriend heeft.

Een eeuwenoude ring, die jaren zoek is geweest, wordt gevonden en komt bij toeval terecht bij de kleine Hobbit Frodo. Als de tovenaar Gandalf erachter komt dat deze ring eigenlijk de Ene Ring is waar de slechte Sauron naar op zoek is, gaat Frodo samen met Gandalf, een Dwerg, een Elf, twee Mensen en drie andere Hobbits op een groots avontuur om deze te vernietigen.

De hobbits Frodo en Sam trekken verder richting Mordor om hun taak, het vernietigen van de machtige Ene Ring waar de slechte Sauron naar op zoek is, te volbrengen. Hierbij krijgen ze hulp uit onverwachte hoek.

Tijdens de verhuizing van haar familie naar een buitenwijk wandelt Chihiro, een 10-jarig meisje, een wereld binnen die geregeerd wordt door heksen en monsters, waar mensen veranderd worden in dieren. Chihiro moet in een groot badhuis werken om te overleven. Zal het haar lukken om terug te keren naar haar eigen wereld?

Vlak voor zijn tweede jaar op de Hogwarts School voor Hekserij en Tovenarij wordt tovenaarsleerling Harry Potter door de elf Dobby gewaarschuwd dat zijn terugkeer op de school tot een ramp zal leiden.

Bilbo Balings is een simpele hobbit die een rustig leventje leidt in de Gouw in Midden-aarde. Zijn rustige bestaan is echter snel voorbij als de tovenaar Gandalf op zijn deur klopt. Samen met Gandalf en dertien dwergen onderneemt Bilbo een avontuur dat hem moet leiden naar de schat die de draak Smaug van de dwergen gestolen heeft.

'The Four Horsemen' is een groep goochelaars onder leiding van Atlas. Tijdens het uitvoeren van hun magische show overvalt de bende een bank op een ander continent om vervolgens de winst onder het publiek te verdelen. De FBI-agent Dylan is vastberaden om de goochelaars te laten boeten voor hun misdaden. Hij wordt echter gedwongen om samen te werken met Alma, een rechercheur van Interpol. Uit wanhoop keert Dylan zich tot de beroemde magiër Thaddeus die beweert dat de bankoverval gepleegd is middels vermommingen en videobedrog. Over één ding zijn Dylan en Alma het eens: The Horsemen moeten een handlanger hebben, en het vinden van die persoon is de sleutel tot de oplossing.

Heel Groot-Brittanië wordt in haar greep gehouden door Heer Voldemort, die maar één doel voor ogen heeft: het opsporen en doden van Harry Potter.

Edmund en Lucy moeten heel de zomer bij hun vervelende neefje Eustace verblijven, wat ze niet leuk vinden. Terwijl ze op een dag, samen met Eustace in een kamer zitten, komt een schilderij met het schip de 'Dawn Treader' erop tot leven en voor ze het weten bevinden ze zich op het magische schip. Het is Harry's derde jaar op Hogwarts. Een gevaarlijke massamoordenaar, Sirius Black, is ontsnapt uit de Azkaban gevangenis, en iedereen is er van overtuigd dat hij er op uit is om Harry te vermoorden.

Harry gaat samen met zijn vrienden Ron en Hermione naar het WK Quidditch. Helaas loopt dit evenement mis doordat een groep volgelingen van Voldemort, ook wel Dooddoeners genoemd, door het veld parradeert.
