De almachtige Apenkoning zwierf ooit vrij rond tussen hemel en aarde, maar nadat hij de goden kwaad had gemaakt, werd hij opgesloten in een ijskooi diep in de bergen. 500 jaar later vallen monsters een klein dorp aan en vlucht een kind naar de bergen. Onbewust bevrijdt het kind de Apenkoning van zijn vloek. Met de hulp en aanmoediging van dit bijzondere kind redt Monkey King het dorp van de kwaadaardige monsters.

Nezha komt in de problemen en betrekt zijn ouders erbij, die samen met hem door de hemel worden gestraft. Hij stapt dapper op en geeft zijn fout toe, die de hemel raakt, en zijn inspanning komt tot bloei. Het gezin van drie wordt uiteindelijk herenigd.

As a horrible drought settles over the land, the world begins to wither and die. Desperate to save their lives and their livelihoods, the people of the Chentang Pass offer all they have as a sacrifice to the Dragon King of the Eastern Seas; but their efforts to appease the mighty lord just aren’t enough. At the end of the Shang Dynasty, King Zhou's tyranny made life unbearable for the people. Li Jing, one of the dynasty's most renowned generals, and his wife Yin Shiniang, faced a strange event when their child was born as a ball of flesh. Believing it to be a demon, Li Jing split it open, revealing a two-year-old boy named Nezha. To protect her child, Shiniang sent Nezha to the Nuwa Temple to be raised. Nezha befriended Yang Jian and Lei Zhenzi, and the trio delved into the world of kung fu. Yang Jian's sister, Yang Lian Hua, fell in love with Nezha at first sight. Meanwhile, King Zhou's indulgence in beauty and favouritism towards Su Daji led to widespread destruction. Jiang Ziya then led Nezha, Lei Zhenzi, and Yang Jian to persuade King Wen and assist King Wu in leading an army against Zhou. Together, they fought against the injustice.
