Amerikansk komedie om et ektepar som nekter å flytte fra huset sitt, til tross for at de er døde. Nå henvender de seg til demonen Beetlejuice for å få ham til å 'drive ut' husets nye beboere. Etter å ha omkommet i en bilulykke, eksisterer nå ekteparet Barbara og Adam Maitland som spøkelser. Tilværelsen er slett ikke så ille da de fremdeles kan bo i sitt vakre hus. Husfreden varer imidlertid ikke lenge. Til Adam og Barbaras store fortvilelse kjøper en snobbete familie huset deres. De forsøker å skremme dem bort etter alle kunstens regler, men de de klarer ikke å oppføre seg som slemme spøkelser. Det de trenger er eksperthjelp og henvender seg til et slemmere spøkelse som er ekspert på å skremme vannet av levende vesener.

Hope Island is an American television show that originally aired on PAX TV in the 1999-2000 season. It was based on Ballykissangel, a popular drama that aired on the BBC One. The series ran for 22 episodes, and focused on the residents of Hope Island, a small island in the Pacific Northwest with a population of 1,998.

This Is the Life is an American Christian television dramatic series. This anthology series aired in syndication from the 1950s through the 1980s. The series was originally produced by the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, and distributed by the International Lutheran Laymen's League. It spun off from an earlier series called The Fisher Family, with Nelson Leigh as Pastor Martin being the transitional character and in the same suburban town setting.
