Jean-Pierre and his wife Blanche live a quiet but happy life in their small Belgian town. But their world is shattered when their young son goes missing. In the year of change in Eastern Europe, in a remote village, the regular movie show, scheduled once a week, terminates due to the motor courier’s being killed in an accident. Magic alone can unravel this knot of destinies... And then, there is the Gypsy tale of the black swallow and how it came to be.
A former goldminer who has run afoul of the law is made an unusual offer by the mafia. The power of money and popularity among women won't let him step down from the rollercoaster in order to make the right decisions.
