A wedding at her parents' Annapolis estate hurls high-strung Lynn into the center of touchy family dynamics.

A young boy has lost his mother and is losing touch with his father and the world around him. Then he meets Hesher who manages to make his life even more chaotic.

Follows John Kennedy Toole's mother, the Pulitzer Prize winning author of A Confederacy of Dunces. Toole died by suicide before finding a home for his masterpiece, and his mother Thelma, made it her life's mission.

Set in 1910 during the Mexican Revolution, it tells of an estranged father-son out to stop smugglers.
