The skeletal remains of a missing teenage girl are discovered in the national park following a controlled burn, leading detectives into a series of fifteen-year-old missing persons cases. The investigation takes on a personal note for Hudson who is still haunted by the unsolved disappearance and presumed murder of another young girl. Information from a woman who was herself an attempted abductee leads to a suspect who is now dead, forcing Hudson to turns his attentions to the man's former girlfriend.
