杀手亚庄（周润发）在一次暗杀行动中误伤了歌星Jennie（叶倩文），令其双目接近失明，自此，深感内疚的他开始暗中保护、帮助 Jennie，并想趁她眼睛完全失明前筹一笔款送她去国外医治，为此，亚庄铤而走险再当杀手，不想任务完成后不但没收到钱，反被雇他杀人的汪海派人追杀。奉命侦查相关命案的警探李鹰（李修贤）在查案过程中知晓事情另有隐情，亚庄并非冷血杀手，开始同其惺惺相惜，而在应对汪海势力的追杀中，两人更是结成生死之交。然而亚庄的命运，似乎是被注定了。

本片简单地叙述了李小龙从小习武，因为在香港惹事不得已跑到美国，先是在中餐馆洗盘子，又来因为和一个厨房师傅争抢一个女服务员，发生打斗，后被老板娘辞退，老板娘慧眼识珠，认为李小龙是一个可塑之材，劝他离开餐馆可以去上大学，并且资助了一些学费，在大学李小龙认识了他的妻子琳达。本片除了精彩的武打场面外，也巨细靡遗地描写了李小龙与其妻琳达（萝伦荷莉）从初识相恋到结合的经过。后来李小龙在琳达的支持下开武馆，闯出了名堂。李小龙去世时才32岁，死因至今成谜。本片暗示李小龙后来在好莱坞扬名后，面对中国传统武术精神与好莱坞商业化的矛盾，加上种族歧视仍是个挥之不去的阴影，李小龙夜夜深受梦魇所苦，几场超现实的梦境，多少预示了这位传奇明星悲剧性的结局。

A Kindred Spirit was a television drama series that was broadcast on TVB Jade in Hong Kong from 15 May 1995 to 13 November 1999. It is one of the longest running drama shows in Hong Kong television history. Its exceptional longevity still amazes people in a city where scripted TV drama programs typically only last around 20 episodes. The total number of episodes is 1,128. Each episode airs a few days in each week. The show centres on a family who operates a barbecue pork restaurant in Happy Valley, Hong Kong, and their life.

The shown was rerun from Thursday, January 29, 2009 to February 26, 2009 from Monday to Friday at 12:05am on TVB Jade in Hong Kong. The Chinese title is a reference to Shi Jian, who had played as villains in many Wong Fei Hung movies featuring Kwan Tak Hing as Wong Fei Hung, and later in TVB's television series. Reversing the trends set by previous Wong Fei Hung stories, the title archvillain assumes the leading role of the series, with Wong Fei Hung as the supporting role.

The Star Leo is a luxury cruiser shuttling between Japan and Hong Kong. On this cruise, seven top chefs known as "culinary kings" have been invited for a major event in which guests can savor a fancy dinner that they cook up. This event was planned by Shiori Tachibana, a woman who learned business management in Hong Kong. But the restaurant chefs "Heiheiro" aboard the luxury ship left in protest against the event, and to make matters worse, due to a certain slip-up, the "culinary kings" also failed to board the ship, which then set sail for Japan without them. Tachibana gets the cooperation of the "loser" chef remaining in the restaurant together with their apprentice chef, crewmembers and passengers for a team of five people to take on the cooking for the event.
