Bungle, Zippy and George discover that some words that sound the same mean completely different things. Geoffrey is upstairs trying to find a pair of socks to put on. He shouts downstairs to Bungle, asking if he can find him a pair, but Bungle and Zippy think he wants a pear to eat. Then Geoffrey tells Bungle to leave the downstairs door ajar, but Bungle thinks he means leave a jar by the door! George tells Geoffrey he has to give Jane the ring he's found when they are ready for the song, but Geoffrey explains that Jane meant to give her a ring on the telephone, not a ring people wear on their fingers. Rod, Jane and Freddy sing "It's A Riddle", and Geoffrey reads a story called "Words That Sound The Same".
