LAPLAN CHING CHING, the daughter of a government official LAPLAN KANG, goes to a temple at Nanping County to make a wish under the wishing tree on a special memorial day. CHING throws a wishing plate but CHAN MUNG KAT knocks it down accidentally. KAT is a good-for-nothing man who idles around in town and he teases CHING for wishing to get married secretly. CHING goes to the restaurant with her nanny and KAT sells fruits to her at a very high price.
